ANNAViolette was born and raised in Uganda. For three years before joining graduate school, she taught youth in rural eastern and central Uganda social entrepreneurship and financial literacy in formal and informal institutions.  She trained youth in planning and budgeting, carried out sensitizations and was involved designing and adapting of curriculums as well as carrying out trainer of trainers. Violette has designed and carried out baseline, midline surveys and also implemented household surveys for malaria prevalence in Malaria Consortium. She has started her own recycle-reuse project and empowers teenage mothers in her community. Currently she has taken leave from her Masters Study in Sustainable International Development and will be a fellow with Global Health Corps fellow who will be working with S.O.U.L Foundation as Programs and Advocacy officer.
