Cultural waves Uganda aims at demystifying Information Communications Technologies (ICTs) and to make them accessible to all Women and the girl child in rural areas particularly those who haven been historically disadvantaged in terms of their access to such technologies in order to make a difference in their livelihood.
A non profit and non government community based organization, founded by a group of students from Makerere University in 2004( youth founded), from which many where from the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FCIT),public health ,faculty of arts , but also involved other intellectuals from other Faculties who assessed the situation of the living of the rural people mainly the vulnerable girl child and the women(youth) more especially the dis-advantaged living in the rural and slum areas of Uganda including; Masaka,Kumi, Kamuli, Rakai and Kampala . in the context of bridging the digital divide through its focus on working with Young female Adults and children programs that promote their well-being, programs involved human rights education and awareness, science and technology education, HIV prevention(health) reproductive health of young people, culture, sports and entrepreneurship. It.s a team of young people who are looking for ways to improve their communities and address social issues and the action tools, resources and support through the use of ict as a tool.
