Cultural Waves Uganda

We are a community based nonprofit organization that was founded on the principle of equity by a group of young students. Right to access. We believe that everyone should have the right to access the information they need.

Our aim therefore is to demystify Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) and make them accessible to all, particularly women and girls in rural areas, who are an undeserved population.

Our programs are geared towards improving the lives of adolescents and young adults by providing them with the relevant information in the areas of health and education. Registered in Uganda s.5914/7826

To empower women and the girl child in rural areas through ICTs as a tool for information and mobilization towards attaining gender equality and improved livelihood opportunities.

Our approach

Cultural Waves Uganda works with volunteers and interns from different backgrounds to work with adolescents and youth in several communities. Currently we are working in Masaka and Lwengo districts. Our volunteers and interns come from across the globe.


Provide the necessary information for young people to make knowledgeable decisions for their lives.

Train and support

Our volunteers work within the communities to train young people on how to use ICTs for their information and everyday life needs.
